What I do

Live Sound - Weddings - Music - Recordings - DJ Shows

Okaphonic exists to remove the uncertainty from live sound. I provide microphones, speakers, and someone to set everything up and run it. There's a lot more to it than that, but Performers, Speakers, Brides and Audience Members shouldn’t have to think about microphones or deal with feedback, they should be able to focus entirely on the show or ceremony, confident that everything sounds good.

Whether it’s a jazz ensemble, a choral performance, or a wedding at a winery, the objective is always the same:

Clear and controlled sound - Every Time.

What sets Okaphonic apart

Performer First Approach:
I'm here to ensure the Band, Speaker or Bride and Groom can be heard clearly and sound great. A large part of that is how you want things to sound.

Adaptability Across Venues:
No two spaces are the same. Each environment is assessed and optimized individually, from small wineries to large outdoor events.

Acoustic Specialist:

Getting a good volume out of acoustic instruments without feeding back is a particular challenge and not every sound guy can handle them. Violins, Harps, Flutes, even "louder" acoustic instruments like guitars can easily get lost in a noisy or outdoor situation, and Okaphonic brings specific expertise to overcome those challenges.

Variety of Services:

I also provide DJ'ing in any genre including electronic and country, multi-track recording for up to 24 channels, MC/Announcement services, and karaoke. Recordings come standard with every live event, but travelling studio recordings and mastering are also available.

Technical Discipline:
Years of technical and musical experience combined with a keen interest in music and sound engineering bring considerable skill in live mixing and perseverance against adverse conditions.

End-to-End Ownership:
From transport and setup to live operation and teardown, every aspect of the audio system is transported and managed by Okaphonic. Complete sound services with a minimal footprint and cost.

Our Services

Wedding and Ceremony Audio

Okaphonic offers specialized audio support for weddings that feature live acoustic music, with a focus on clarity, subtlety, and natural sound. Rather than loud rock or DJ sets (Although I can do that too!), this service is designed for ceremonies and receptions where the goal is to preserve the intimacy and character of live performance, even in acoustically challenging environments. Harps, Flutes, Violins or Cellos are fine on their own in small spaces indoors, but in the Okanagans many outdoor venues they are quickly lost without just a touch of subtle reinforcement.
